Some enemies can make explosive attacks and Stun a constant problem, especially during tougher late-game encounters where getting caught by either can quickly turn a fight against you.
Aegidron brings a defensive advantage that protects both you and your party from these threats, letting you stay in the fight without worrying as much about explosive damage or Stun.
Its Dragon/Ground typing also gives it a strong offensive moveset, while its Level 8 Mining makes it one of the most specialized Pals you can assign at your base.
Aegidron Location
Aegidron can be encountered as a Level 79 Field Boss within the World Tree, appearing just north of Lacrymal Shoal near the waterfall area at -1925, 1341.
Partner Skill
Indestructible Fortress
Aegidron’s Partner Skill is called Indestructible Fortress, allowing it to be ridden while providing powerful defensive protection to your entire party.
While Aegidron is in your party, you and your Pals take 60% less damage from explosive attacks and become completely immune to Stun.
This makes Aegidron particularly useful when facing enemies that rely heavily on explosive attacks, while the Stun immunity prevents your party from being interrupted by the status effect.
The defensive effect does not stack with additional Aegidrons, so there is no benefit to filling multiple party slots with them.
Aegidron Exclusive Skill
Missile Burst
Aegidron charges for a short time as its wings open, before unleashing several missiles directly in front of it.
The attack is particularly effective for hitting multiple enemies from a distance, while the spread of missiles also makes it useful for bombarding larger targets such as bosses.
Missile Burst has 700 Power with a 30-second cooldown, giving Aegidron a powerful ranged attack despite its brief charge-up time.
Aegidron Uses
Aegidron’s main value comes from protecting your entire party against explosive attacks and Stun, giving you much more room to fight through encounters built around these threats.
Its defensive Partner Skill can make difficult battles more manageable by reducing explosive damage while preventing Stun from interrupting you or your Pals during combat.
Its Dragon/Ground typing also gives Aegidron access to attacks from two elements, allowing it to contribute meaningful damage rather than functioning purely as a defensive Pal.
At your base, Mining 8 gives Aegidron an exceptional role for handling mining tasks, making it one of the more specialized Pals to keep assigned to resource production.

Verdict
Aegidron brings a defensive option that can completely change how you handle battles where explosive attacks and Stun are major threats.
Rather than simply making itself harder to defeat, Indestructible Fortress protects your entire party, giving both you and your Pals more freedom to stay aggressive.
Its Level 8 Mining also gives it a clear purpose at your base, making Aegidron a worthwhile Field Boss to capture even when you are not building around its combat ability.
