Palworld: How To Unlock & Craft Primitive Sword

Melee combat becomes much more rewarding once you unlock the Primitive Sword, giving you a reliable way to deal heavy damage without relying on ammunition.

Unlike clubs and other early game weapons, the Primitive Sword offers greater reach and stronger attacks, making it easier to take on aggressive Pals and hostile enemies.

Whether you’re saving your arrows for tougher encounters or simply prefer fighting up close, the Primitive Sword is a worthwhile upgrade once it becomes available.

How To Unlock and Craft Primitive Sword?

The Primitive Sword can be unlocked once you have reached Level 17 and this requires you spend 2 Technology Points in the Technology Menu.

Once the Primitive Sword has been unlocked, you can craft it with the materials required at a High Quality Workbench or better crafting station.

  • 2 Wooden Board
  • 15 Stone
  • 15 Metal Ingot

Primitive Sword Features

The Primitive Sword can be a useful weapon to have, especially if you have just started out in the game as it makes a good replacement for weaker weapons.

Its range is quite the advantage and at this point it can even go to the extent of hitting enemies behind thin walls but this might be patched sometime later.

The combo with the Primitive Sword features a left and right slash followed by an overhead slash, each with a decent range per attack.

Verdict

The Primitive Sword is an excellent milestone weapon that gives players a significant boost in melee damage during the early stages of progression.

Its long reach, powerful attack combo, and relatively affordable crafting cost make it an easy recommendation for anyone looking to move beyond basic weapons.

Once you obtain higher rarity Schematics, the Primitive Sword can remain a dependable choice for quite some time, making it well worth unlocking as soon as you reach the required level.
