Warframe: Should You Hunt Vena or Ryuko?

Some of Warframe’s quests will have you making certain decisions, and if you have reached Jade Shadows: Contellations, you will find that this applies here as well.

As you know, your decisions from the previous Jade Shadows quest have affected this one, and a certain part may have players choosing who to hunt during the quest.

Don’t worry, though, this quest does not permanently affect the outcome to the point where there is no return, and it turns out, you will have to hunt both of them.

What Are The Hunt Missions?

These missions involve you subduing your target, and you will eventually have to get both Vena and Ryoku, as this is for a plot that thickens later.

During these missions, you infiltrate your target’s ship and fight with the enemies, making this more of a sample fight compared to what you will experience with the new Railjack Missions.

Should You Hunt Vena or Ryoku?

Players may wonder if there is a good or bad choice, but it turns out that you can choose either of the two, since you will have to go after the other as well.

This is simply a step in completing the quest, which makes the decision irrelevant when it comes to the story of Jade Shadows: Constellations.

Through our playthrough, though, it seems that starting with Orion may have made things feel a bit easier since choosing Ryoku last seemed like his mission was easier to complete.

Does Choosing Vena or Ryoku Affect The Story?

No, choosing Vena or Ryoku first does not affect the outcome of Jade Shadows: Constellations, and there are no long-term consequences tied to this decision.

Regardless of who you decide to hunt first, you will still need to complete both missions before the quest can continue, making this more of a progression choice than a story-changing one.

Your previous decision from Jade Shadows remains intact as well, meaning the child you brought forward from that quest stays the same and will not be changed by selecting either Vena or Ryoku.

Verdict

The Hunt Vena or Ryoku decision may seem important at first, but it ultimately serves as a way to let players choose which mission they want to experience first.

Since both hunt missions are required for quest completion, there is no need to worry about missing rewards, dialogue, or alternate story outcomes.

Feel free to pick whichever target interests you more, as the overall story and progression will remain the same in the end.
