There are several materials that you need to gather to progress in Palworld as these may either need to be processed or simply used for building and crafting.
Collecting different types of ores will require a pickaxe and one of the best ones that you can get right now is the Pal Metal Pickaxe.
Being one of the latest weapons/tools added in the Feybreak Update, this pickaxe will allow you to gather ores with little to no effort and this can help speed up farming certain materials.
How To Unlock Pal Metal Pickaxe?
The Pal Metal Pickaxe is more of a late-game tool to have, and this becomes available once you have reached Level 44.
Once you hit Level 44, you may unlock the Pal Metal Pickaxe from the Technology Menu, which will require 2 Technology Points.
It may be a good idea to use whatever pickaxe is available until you reach Level 44 as this can be a long way to go before you can even craft it.
How To Craft Pal Metal Pickaxe?
The Pal Metal Pickaxe is more advanced than other tools, which makes it only available for crafting at a Production Assembly Line II.
Once a Production Assembly Line II has been built, you will be able to craft the Pal Metal Pickaxe using the following materials:
- 50 Stone
- 100 Wood
- 10 Pal Metal Ingot
Pal Metal Pickaxe Uses
The Pal Metal Pickaxe is the best pickaxe to use when it comes to mining as it has a base attack of 120 and this is a huge leap from the Refined Metal Pickaxe.
Since the Refined Metal Pickaxe only has a base attack of 60, you can expect to deal even more damage to different ore nodes that you find.
This will allow you to destroy ore nodes faster as you will require fewer swings and you will be able to collect materials within a shorter period without using up too much stamina.
Verdict
The Pal Metal Pickaxe may not be available during the earlier parts of the game but eventually, as you progress to level 44, you will want to craft one right away.
By the time you unlock this tool, you should already have Pal Metal Ingots available and if not, you can easily craft them if you have progressed while leveling up.
Due to the high base attack of the Pal Metal Pickaxe, it will only take you a short amount of time when it comes to clearing out areas with ore nodes.
