Warframe: Focus School Expansion Guide (New Nodes & Artifact Upgrades)

With the release of The Old Peace update, the Focus system was expanded alongside other core gameplay changes rather than introduced as a standalone feature.

This update quietly extended Focus progression by adding new nodes and mechanics, allowing Operators to further develop their chosen school beyond its original limits.

Rather than redefining Focus, these changes built naturally on the existing system, rewarding long-term investment without disrupting established Operator gameplay.

Tauron Strikes

One of the newer features added to the game is Tauron Strikes, powerful attacks that your Operator can now perform.

Tauron Strikes are first available in the Perita Rebellion game mode, accessible through the Dark Refractory, and can later be unlocked by purchasing Tektolyst Artifacts.

Each Focus School has its own Tektolyst Artifact, allowing specific Tauron Strikes to be performed based on the Focus School you have equipped.

New Focus School Nodes

Each Focus School now has additional nodes that unlock only after purchasing the corresponding Tektolyst Artifact.

These new nodes are primarily linked to the Tauron Strike, while also granting supplementary bonuses to enhance your Operator’s capabilities.

Upgrading these Focus School nodes requires resources obtained by defeating the bosses found in The Perita Rebellion missions.

Tektolyst Artifact Upgrades

Once a Tektolyst Artifact has been unlocked, it becomes available in your Operator’s equipment screen for customization.

You can equip specific mods and an Arcane to the Artifact, which directly enhances your Operator, Amp, Tauron Strike, and other abilities.

This system allows you to strengthen your Operator’s performance in missions, refine combat strategies, and solidify builds for more impactful gameplay.

Operator and Drifter Appearance

Operators and Drifters have received a full visual overhaul, improving their facial features, expressions, and overall realism.

On login after the update, you will see your remastered Operator and Drifter, which can be further customized to suit your personal aesthetic.

This update ensures that your Tenno’s appearance now matches the depth and detail of the new Focus School features, blending style with functionality in gameplay.

Verdict

The Focus School Expansion added meaningful depth to Operator progression, giving players new ways to enhance abilities, refine builds, and experiment with Tauron Strikes.

With additional nodes, Tektolyst Artifacts, and customizable upgrades, long-term investment in a Focus School is more rewarding than ever, providing tangible combat benefits and strategic options.

Visual upgrades to Operators and Drifters complement these gameplay changes, making the expansion feel cohesive, immersive, and a clear improvement to the overall Focus system.
